Re: [TRNSYS-users] random numbers
There are two random number generator Types in the TESS Libraries:
Type577 generates a semi-random number drawn from a uniform distribution
between a user-specified minimum and maximum value. The number is
semi-random because the user supplies a seed number so that two
simulations run sequentially will still generate the same result.
Type578 generates a semi-random number drawn from a normal distribution
based on a user-specified mean value and standard deviation. If Type578
is not appropriate for your application, perhaps Type577 would work.
Kind regards,
David

Hi
I am looking for a possibility to generate random numbers in TRNSYS. Right now I just know that there is a TESS Type 578 to generate standard division random numbers. I don't care if the numbers are not standard division. Is there somebody of you who worked with random numbers in trnsys (e.g. vor the ACH). Thank you!
