Re: [TRNSYS-users] TRNSYS Fortran compiler for Win 7 64-bit

Greg,
I'm not sure but it might have to do with Windows, which is REALLY restrictive about who and what can write files in the \Program Files(x86) directory. I would highly recommend moving your Trnsys16 directory out of the Program Files directory and either putting it on the root or putting it in another subdirectory that you created (I put mine in one called c:\Prog Files\Trnsys16). Windows might have prevented Studio from creating that *.bmp because it thought Studio was trying to do something malicious.
best,
 David

Hi David and everyone,

I think I'm using the G95 fortran compiler correctly, as per the instructions from the link you sent me (I'm getting it to write the *.DLL file for the example type in the getting started document, section "Creating a new componet"). However, when I add the component to a new project, the studio gives me the following error:

"C:\Program Files(x86)\Trnsys16\Proformas\Type202.bmp
      was not found."

This is certainly true, there is no *.bmp file there. I did some reading, and realize that the .bmp file is the icon/image file. I wonder why the studio didn't make a *.bmp file for me?

Thanks again for your help,
