Re: [TRNSYS-users] Using Excel as Load Profile

Pei,
You'll want to save your Excel file in *.csv (comma separated value) form and read it with type9. Type9 can read as many rows of data as you have. Parameter 2 is asking you for how many columns of data you have per row. I would recommend that you start with the Type9 example:

..\Trnsys17\Examples\Reading Data Files\DataReader.tpf.

It is often simpler to modify existing examples than it is to start from nothing.
Kind regards,
 david

Hi all,

As a newbie I am wondering how to use Excel for load profile input. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to use a Data Reader to do this? For example, can the Data Reader read 10920 rows of data? In 9a for example, Parameter 2 asks how many values of input to read and the maximum is only 98?

Thanks

Pei
