Re: [TRNSYS-users] Editing a *.b17 file, replacing numerical value for variable name...

Juan,
Unfortunately, no, it cannot. The workaround that I have used is to create a number of *.b17 files, each with an insulation thickness that I want to test, and then to run a parametric study.

Michael Kummert also came up with a method that allows some optimization of Type56 variables using GenOpt. There is a link to the tutorial

Kind regards,
 David

Hello.

Can a *.b17 file be edited (with Notepad ie.) replacing a numerial value for some variable name, that later will be define in a block equation in Studio?

All this if for doing insulation thickness optimization with Type56.

Thanks.
