[TRNSYS-users] Tair Top Tstar, QUA

Dear all,

What's the difference and relationship of Tair and Top and Tstar? When can we use these temperature?

I found the NTYPE 27 QUA: In my simulation it also is 1123 kJ/h as a constant, but the QHEAT (from 0 to 400 kJ/h)<<QUA=1123 kJ/h. Why  is it? What's difference QHEAT and QUA? Please explain in detail.

Many thanks!

Br.

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Trnsys with Matlab network version

Dear all,

We cannot seem to get Trnsys working with a network version of Matlab (R2010a).

We get the error that Trnsys is “Unable to start the Matlab Engine”.

To our opinion the problem is that by starting the Matlab network version, a check is made whether you have a licence or not and that this step cannot be made by the type155.dll.  Without this check, Matlab does not start.

Any suggestions how to solve this?

Kind regards,

Maarten Sourbron

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Trn3D critical room
Hi all,

I wanted to do a simulation on a critical room inside a building. I built that room in Sketch Up and put shading groups around so I don't get the "external effects".
My problem is, that these walls appear in TRNbuild as external. Now I am not sure if I get the right results, because they seem to be too high.
Is there another way or do I have to put real rooms around my critical ones?

Attached you ll find the *.idf file for SketchUp.
Thanks in advance

Leo
