Re: [TRNSYS-users] Problem in Type 66

Dear Wimolsiri,

I was able to run the example with my TRNSYS version 17.00.0019. I recommend that you please contact your local TRNSYS distributor, which I believe is TESS Technical Support (techsupport@tess-inc.com), and request to obtain the latest version of TRNSYS. Please provide the information in your 'user17.id' file as well when sending the request.

I unfortunately do not yet have that latest version of EES, so I do not know if that is influencing the example as well.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Dear Matt,

Sorry, I just see your comment and double posted the mail.

There was no warning in the EES at each call. I did open, modify some text and save the “compressor.ees” file before running TRNSYS. The problem cannot be solved, the same error message showed again.

Now I am using TRNSYS version 17.00.0012 and EES version 8.201(27 March 2011). Is there any update in Type 66 after this version?

Best regards,

Wimolsiri

Dear Wimolsiri,

I was not able to run the example until I read and implemented the following message on the *.tpf:

"You should open and save the "compressor.ees" file with your EES version prior to running this example, or you will get EES warnings at each call"

That is exactly what I did. I opened the *.ees in EES32, I made a small text modification (in order to save the *.ees), and I saved the *.ees. The example then ran correctly.

Please try that and let me know if you have any more issues or concerns.

Best ! regards,

Matt Duffy

Dear Sir,

I found so! me problem in Type 66: Calling EES. I tried to run the example that comes with the program but the solver cannot start, the error message in the list file show that

*** Fatal Error at time   :      3648.000000

    Generated by Unit     :     5

    Generated by Type     :    66

TRNSYS Message    103 : The TRNSYS TYPE checking routine has found an inconsistency in the specified component between the input file and the information expected by the Type

Reported information  : An illegal number of PARAMETERS has been specified for this component. Please check the component configuration. 0 PARAMETERS are required and 4 were specified.

I’m sure that I use the EES professiona! l version, all the paths should be correct. I tried to create a new simple file or even use the file that used to be able to run for TRNSYS 16 but the same message always show up. I also attach the studio file of this example and the list file with this mail. Please kindly check, there might be something wrong in this component.

Thank you very much and looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

Wimolsiri
