Re: [TRNSYS-users] TRNSYS-users Digest, Vol 75, Issue 69

Dear All,
Thank you for the update.

To Adrien,
Thanks for the information regarding the software and for the TRNSYS example.

To Mat Duffy,
Yes we are using TRNSYS 17.0 version.
The Type should be 99 instead of 199.

Thank you again.

Best Regards,
Arifeen

Dear Ben,

I would recommend you to use TRNSYS in a Windows system by means of Virtualbox in a GNU/Linux host.

Best regards

Asunto: [TRNSYS-users] running TRNSYS 16 under Wine

I am trying to get TRNSYS running on Linux under Windows emulation

(Wine).  Now, I don't know if the TRNSYS version shipped with SAM is

compiled differently or not, but it identifies itself as "TRNSYS16

(IVF-SAM) 31OCT10".

When running trnivf.exe it by hand, I see this:

 TRNSYS16 (IVF-SAM) 31OCT10

forrtl: severe (157): Program Exception - access violation

Image              PC        Routine            Line        Source

trnivf.exe         00807E7A  Unknown               Unknown  Unknown

trnivf.exe         00808B20  Unknown               Unknown  Unknown

etc.

Has anyone got TRNSYS running under Wine?

Thanks, Ben

Dear Airfeen,

Just to add on to Adrien's comment, if using version 17, that is now Type99 not Type109.
You could also simply use the Type9 Data Reader, to read the data from an external file, and the Type16 Radiation Processor, to process your radiation for the tilted surface(s). For TRNSYS v 17.00.0019 users, you can see the following example.
"\Examples\Weather Data\RadiationProcessing.tpf"

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Dear Airfeen,

You can build your TMY2 weather file with METEONORM software. But it's not free.

Otherwise, you can build you own weather file with data you have and read it with type109 (Type109 - User).

See the example file description to build your weather file : .\Examples\Data Files\Type109-UserFormat.109

Dear David BRADLEY,

We like to use present weather data in my TRNSYS simulation.

We have the facility to measure/record weather parameters (solar radiation, dry bulb temperature etc.)

For this reason, we like to modify the existing weather file or create new weather data file.

Now my questions are:

(1) How can I modify/ create new weather data file (like TMY2) for my simulation?

(2) Is there any related document / help file available to learn from?

Thanks and Regards,
Arifeen

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Ventilation manager in Trnbuild

Dear Trnsys users ;

I’ve a question about the ventilation of a single zone in Trnbuil. Is it possible to define an extracting or blowing flow to simulate a mechanical single flow ventilation.
