yes, the version 2 TESSLibs for Trnsys16 will work with Trnsys17. However, a new, expanded version of the TESS Libraries for Trnsys17 is soon to be available.
Secondly, it is technical question. I want to simulate dimming control using illuminance sensor.
However, I know that it should not interpreted intensity illumination(illuminance) in trnsys 16.
it all depends on what weather file you have. If you have access to one of the TMY2, meteonorm TMY, or IWEC generated weather files then illumination was available from either Type89 or Type15 in Trnsys16. With the release of Trnsys17, Type15 is now the highly recommended weather file component so you should be able to get illumination data from there (provided that you have a weather file that contains illumination data).
