What if I neglect the amount of Solar Energy being reflected back to the shading system from an interior window? Would there be a significant impact on the thermal behavior of the space?
I would think that the larger impact would be ignoring the interior piece of glass.

 Secondly, as you say, the mass of the shading device is ignored, but with the given absorptance it should pass on the energy to the air node of the space, right?
