Re: [TRNSYS-users] Strange part-load data for Type655

Dear LEE

I have another data file slightly better. It is based on manuafcturer standard.
Do not worry in real world we are facing high cop simply because of large evaporator and condenser in partial loads.
I hope it helps

0.0000                  ! Fraction of Full Load Power at PLR=0.00
0.152                         ! Fraction of Full Load Power at PLR=0.25
0.31                  ! Fraction of Full Load Power at PLR=0.50
0.59                  ! Fraction of Full Load Power at PLR=0.75
1.0000                  ! Fraction of Full Load Power at PLR=1.00

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Strange part-load data for Type655

Hello.

I find that the sample part-load data for Type655 (air-cooled chiller) as shown
below seems very strange.

0.0  0.25  0.50  0.75  1.00              ! Part Load Ratio
0.0000                      ! Fraction of Full Load Power at PLR=0.00
0.0902                      ! Fraction of Full Load Power at PLR=0.25
0.3241                      ! Fraction of Full Load Power at PLR=0.50
0.6262                      ! Fraction of Full Load Power at PLR=0.75
1.0000                      ! Fraction of Full Load Power at PLR=1.00

The fraction of full load power appears to be unreasonably small, especially
when the PLR is less than 0.5.  By applying the above part-load data, the
calculated COP becomes very large at low PLR.  Does anyone have another set of
data that can be shared?  Thank you!
