Re: [TRNSYS-users] Thermal lag in absorption chillers

Anand,
Interesting problem. Type107 does not take any thermal lag into account; it is a quasi steady state model. The most correct solution to the problem would be to modify the Type107 code so that you can enter time constants and cause the machine capacity and power draw to change more slowly. As a quicker workaround, I suppose that you could use either Type93 (Utility: Input Value Recall) or Type661 (Controllers Library (TESS): Delayed Inputs) on the outlet side of your absorption chiller.
Best,
David

Hence my queries are as follows:
1. Does Type 107 in TRNSYS, take into consideration this thermal lag ? I referred to the documentation but I am still confused. 2. Alternatively is there any other Type which models the thermal lag, and which I should buy ? 3. Otherwise any suggestions on how I can model this thermal lag in the chiller ?

Hope some of you have already encountered this problem (and reached a solution !!!).
Looking forward for your help
