Re: [TRNSYS-users] information about Tape 557 Transys

Hi Nicola

Your question is interesting, as I am a regular user of this Type, and I noticed that changing the value of this parameter has barely no influence on the simulation, i.e. even if you are simulating over a 10-year period, entering 1 or 10 seem to make no difference at all.

This is what I noticed, and I take your question further to the “experts” of this type, “Is it meant to have an influence on the simulation”?

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] information about Tape 557 Transys

Dear professor, I’m a PhD working in Perugia University.

I’m using Trnsys to simulate a GHP system. I’m using the Tape 557 “Duct Ground Heat Storage Model”. I need to know the meaning of the parameter “Number of simulation years”.

If I use a value of 10 year and I print the values of ground temperature simulated using TRNSYS16 (using 8760 hours of simulation in Transys), does the software give the temperature after 10 years of simulation?

Waiting your reply,

Best regards.

Nicola
