Re: [TRNSYS-users] Type 71 and Type 1e

Dear Matt,

I've attached a simple example that shows the mentioned behavior. There is just a pump and a flat plate collector using IAM's (Type 1e). I used the example-IAM data delivered by TRNSYS. I also used the default wheater data (Madison) for Type 15-2. But it doesn't matter which wheater data I use, it's always the same behavior. In this example, you can see the described peeks, the temperatures go up to 800-1000°C.

Thank you!

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Kind regards

Dear Chistopher,

Not sure why that is happening. If you would like to pass along your *.tpf, I will try to take a look.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Type 71 and Type 1e

Dear Users,

I have another problem using Solar Thermal Collectors.

Type 71 and Type 1e (Evacuated Tube Collectors and Flate Plate Collectors) show very strange behaviors. I just modelled a very easy system, including a pump and a collector using wheater data reader Type 15-2. When I run a simulation for one year, both have a lot of peeks where the fluid outlet temperatures are very high, about 5000°C. I don't think that this is realistic :)

Has someone of you already had the same problems or does anybody know where the problem is?

Thanks in advance!
