Re: [TRNSYS-users] prebid: how much orientations are possible?

Marielle,
I am not aware of a limitation on orientations in TRNBuild but I would highly recommend simplifying your building as much as you can or at least start with a few orientations and then add more instead of starting with a whole lot of them. For the external shading by far away objects, Type67 is the one to use (Type67 is just an improved version of Type68). I would recommend skimming the 05-Mathematical Description of the Type to understand what it is trying to do. There is also an example in the ..\Trnsys16_1\Examples\Shading directory.
Kind regards,
 David

Dear trnys-15 users,

I have to model a complex building with a lot of orientations. How much orientations can I enter in prebid?

The problem is that there are surrounding buildings, which provide shadow at my windows. My windows are high and have small width. Is type 68 useable and how do I use it? (example??)

Greetings,
Marielle
