Yes that's right, In TRNSYS, the ventilation in the building is in vol/h but by
boundary it's in kg/h; and some types have inputs or outputs in kg/h. 

For example I use type "attached sunspace" which output air flow is in kg/h. I
create an input in the building and link it to the output ventilation of the
sunspace.
If I decide to call this input by a wall in a zone of my buiding
(boundary/coupling air flow), the coupling air flow is asking in kg/h so it's
good.
But if I decide to call this input by acting a ventilation, it is asking an
input in vol/h. 
So you must be carefull of what you enter in what^^.
