Re: [TRNSYS-users] Fortran compiler
Abdullahi,
I am to create a
new component in TRNSYS. When I tried to create the Fortran skeleton for
my type I got an error message ?the system cannot recognise the path
specified?
When Studio generates Fortran code, it tries to automatically
launch the Compaq Visual Fortran compiler. If you do not have that
particular compiler installed, you will get the "failed to find
path" error but the *.for code will still be created so that you can
build a DLL using a different compiler.
also when I tried
to open the source code I got another error message ?The project was
created with a newer version of IISIBAT and could not be opened??
Normally, there is no need to open the source code (*.for) in the TRNSYS
Studio (which expects a *.tpf or *.tmf file extension). The source code
needs to be opened using a Fortran compiler.
Regards,
David
