Gizmoog,I would recommend using either a Type14 forcing function in combination with a controller component (Type2 for example) to turn on and off the chiller. Type2 would operate the chiller based only on Type56 zone temperatures regardless of the time of year. Type14 would be set up to disable the controller during the winter months so that the chiller remains off. To do this, your Type14 forcing function might have a value of 1 during the summer and 0 during the winter and you might multiply the value of the forcing function by the control signal coming from Type2. If you have access to the TESS Applications Library, there is a heating and cooling season component that will do the same basic thing in a bit more comprehensible way.

Hello, I'm new in Trnsys and I'd like to use Type 56 to model a building zonebut I don't know how to tell that the chiller (for example, could be the same problem with a heating) isworking only during the summer. Actually, I have only a week schedule I didn't find where I can precise that this week description is only for july and august for example. Can someone help me ? best regards, gizmoog _______________________________________________ TRNSYS-users mailing list TRNSYS-users@engr.wisc.edu https://www.cae.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/trnsys-users
