Re: [TRNSYS-users] CANADIAN WELL
Hi,
I think you are referring to a "earth-air heat exchanger".
I think the _expression_ "canadian well" is a translation from
the french "puits canadiens".
However, I am not sure that the _expression_ "puits canadiens"
originated from Canada (!).
I heard the _expression_ for the first time a few years back from
researchers in France.
I think transsolar has a type (260) that models "earth-air heat
exchanger".

Finally, you may want to look at this article that was presented
at the recent IBPSA world congress in Montreal.
Hope this helps.

Hi Javier,
I have had a couple of people ask about "canadian wells"
but I am not familiar with the term. Is a Candian well a just a u-shaped
tube buried in the ground through which liquid is passed? If anyone could
enlighten me, I would appreciate it (and could possibly provide some
information on model sources.
Cheers,
David
