Yes, these are the beam an diffuse radiation normal to the surface.

This term should include all terms for diffuse radiation. Type94 does
not know how you calculated this value.

In theory, yes. However, when you are using weather data files, you may
find that during sunset or sunrise, as the radiation is so small, the
precision of the instruments may result in values that do not add up as
the theory.
