Re: [TRNSYS-users] ABOUT TYPE68
Vito,
1. is it real that there must be at least 2 openings, the real obstacle
and the rear of the collectors (the plane containing the openings)?
In TRNSYS 15, yes, there needs to be at least two openings because of the
way that the DynamicData routine works. However, that means two different
openings such as two different collectors or two different windows. If your
simulation only has one opening that you are concerned about then you can
simply duplicate the opening in the data file and assign it a different ID
number. For each opening, all obstructions are treated exactly the same,
whether the obstruction is in front of or behind the opening. If you enter
0 for the obstruction altitude angles behind the opening's field of view,
Type68 will calculate the effective obstruction angles for you.
2. if there should be a linear sequence in the series of surface angles
does it lead an approximation of the shade phenomena some times?
no the sequence does not have to be linear, you can have more or less
precision in the surface angles wherever you want in the field of view.
3. is there a limitation for the number of surface angles? Why the
number of the obstruction heights is not equal to (surface angles - 1),
pratically the number of the elements that are in the 4th line minus one?
the only limitation on the number of surface angles is that the entire list
of space separated surface angles must fit on one line of no more than 160
characters. This restriction was lifted in TRNSYS 16 as well. There should
be one obstruction angle listed for each surface angle in the data file.
4. is it real that only the 6th output (the total shaded radiation for
surface 1) of Type68 must be connected with the 4th input (incident
radiation) of Type1? (while the rest of Type1 inputs remain connected
normally to Type16)
that depends upon the Type1 optical mode. In optical mode 1-3 and 5, yes,
you only need to connect the 4th input to the output of Type68. If you are
using optical mode 4, however, (IAMs from cover and absorber properties)
then you need to provide the shaded incident diffuse radiation as well, I
belive.
Kind regards,
David
