@gehadrabee24 It sounds as though you changed the Type534 proforma so as to redesignate one or more derivatives as parameters. There are two ways to resolve the situation.

- You can open the proforma and change the designation of the initial tank temperature back from "parameter" to "derivative" then replace the instance(s) of the proforma in your project.

- You can reinstall the TESS Libraries, which will revert to the originally distributed proformas.

@timmcdowell I understand, now I thought that I should change the type of the initial temperature from derivative to parameter, that's why the error is generated, now when I change it to it's original condition (parameter to derivative) still an error is generated, how to reset it's original condition without this error?

I can set the initial temperature for Type534 to -120 with no errors. You should send your project file and all files needed to run your project to your TRNSYS distributor for technical support.

If you want to change the initial temperature of the tank, double click on the component in your project. The proforma should open with a series of tabs across the top (Parameter/Input/Output/Derivative/Special Cards/Eternal Files/Comment). Select the "Derivative" tab and then enter -180 C for the initial temperature of each tank node. This only sets the temperature of the tank nodes at the beginning of the simulation. During the simulation the tank temperatures are calculated based on the fluid into and out of the tank and losses to the ambient through the walls of the tank.

@timmcdowell First, I need it to be -180 C, not 20 C also, what will be the reason of it if it is not connecting with anything?

Since you can change the initial temperatures in the derivative tab it will make no difference if it is a parameter instead. The default initial temperature is 20 C, so I doubt that is the reason for your high temperatures.

@timmcdowell look, If I use a single Tank type 534-no HXs without connecting it to any thing the outlet temperature will be 317 K, it is too high temperature, I need to reduce it, I thought if there was an initial temperature parameter it will change, that's it
