If you select your existing TRNSYS folder, the installation will overwrite your existing TRNSYS installation. If you select a different folder it will install a completely separate TRNSYS installation.

It is always best practice to back-up any user files prior to installing updates for any software.

I wanted to ask if the update changes all the files in the C:\TRNSYS18 folder, as I have changed some to make it work with Matlab. Can I install the new update without it creating problems to my files?
