I would like to use Type 997 (horizontal ground heat exchanger) to
evaluate the effect of ground temperature variation on its output
temperature. Unfortunately, this module needs surface temperature as
input, while I have recorded underground temperature in 1m where the
heat exchanger is installed. Can anyone help me with how I can do this
research in TRNSYS?

Normally I would have you re-post your question there but since I wrote Type 997, I thought I would help you immediately. Am I correct in understanding that you have measured data at 1 meter below the surface in this location? Is this data the un-disturbed soil temperature before the ground heat exchanger placement or data from when it was operating? Your answers will help me help you.
