Thanks for the prompt response.

What I am actually trying to simulate is a PVT system to a multizone building (2 zones) as you cans ee below.

i have tried running the system for a few days in the winter when heating is required for the building and the PVT goes above 40C. The first picture is for when the heating elements in the tank are off:

The second is with heating elements in the tank on:

In both cases, this does not show much effect on the temperature in the building zones (sun zone and back zone:
With heating elements off:

Most probably this is because the building temp is initially at 20 (which is also the setpoint) so there is not much heat load. What do you think?

Have you looked at your system over a day or two to make sure that the energy from the solar system is actually getting into the tank?
