What does an aquastat or thermostat do? It senses something and then sends a signal somewhere. In this case you'd be sensing the tank temperature and turning on and off the heat pump and it's associated pump to keep the tank temperature within your target zone.

Also we need to find out efficiency and energy consumption of the
system how should we proceed with that?

How would you do it in real life? You'd record it over time. Try the Printegrator model.
