Re: [TRNSYS-users] Power use of tpype 927 almost constant

The performance of the heat pump comes from the data that is stored in the data file that Type927 references. Type927 reads the data points in the file and interpolates between them to find the performance for the present inlet conditions. Be aware, though, that the Type cannot exptrapolate beyond the data range given in the file. If you are asking for performance at inlet conditions not covered in the data file you will get erroneous results. At the end of a simulation the *.lst file contains a note about how often the performance data files were accessed above or below their range so that you can get an idea whether this is a problem in your case.

kind regards,

 David

Hello,
I am using type 927 to model a water to water heat pump. But I wonder why the variations of heat pump power use with the flow rate and the load temperature is too small. For example, a load with a double flowrate and 2 C higher temperature only increases the power usage by 0.1 kW. Any ideas about what can be wrong? The flowrate and temperature of source side is fixed.
