Re: [TRNSYS-users] Virtual Fortran run-time error

Toni,

The "output statement overflows record" message comes if the value of the number that is trying to be written to an output file is too big for the space that has been allowed. For instance, if the 5 columns of space are allowed and the number has 6 digits then Fortran throws this error. There is likely nothing that you did wrong in the simulation and if you can send the *.tpf and *.b18 as well as any other files needed in order to run the simulation then it can be fixed in the code. Please also send the *.lst file that is generated when the project runs so that we know what Trnsys version and build you are using.

kind regards,

 David

Hello Trnsys-Colleagues,

I am having a big problem with my model and any help would be appreciated.

I am simulating a building with 29 thermal zones through Type 56. I also modelled the heating system for space heating and DHW preparation. The model works only under particular conditions, but if a parameter is changed (initial temperature of storage or the setpoint T. of a mixing valve) the model crashes and the following error appears (see below). I googled it and it seems that the error could be correlated to the complexity of the system or with some memory issue. Am I correct?

Someone had similar problem? Could you tell me if there is a way to solve this problem and describe how to proceed?

Any help would be precious.

Thanks and have a nice week end.
