Hello Marion,
Hopefully the next release will include this option then !
Thank you for your answer.
Best regards
Wirich

Objet : Re: [TRNSYS-users] MRT under solar radiation
Hi Wirich,
in the standard release the comfort sensor is always fully shaded.
Within Transsolar, we do have a test version of an taking into account solar radiation incident transmitted by external windows on a comfort sensor.
It may become a feature of the next major release of TRNSYS.
Best regards,
marion

Yes, you can calculate the thermal comfort by adding the required parameters in the TRNBuild program, as shown in the picture
Hello,
I want to assess the thermal comfort under solar radiation in a building. The ASHRAE-55 standards proposes a method to calculate the Mean Radiant Temperature including the solar
radiation.
I haven’t seen so far an add-on or a Type that performs this calculation. Given that all the information required (view factor, radiation heat flux, surface temperatures) are available
in the building type, it should be easier to calculate it within the simulation instead of exporting all the data for a post-treatment.
Is it in mind to develop such an add-on or if no, could it be if the need is growing ?
Best regards
