Re: [TRNSYS-users] Matlab engine issue after installing new Matlab version

Paris,

A lot of users have experienced that they can only have one version of Matlab installed (and referenced in the environment path) in order for Type155 to communicate properly. You might need to uninstall 2018 in order to use 2022. If you want to use the 2022a version you'll need the Type155.dll file that goes with that version. I will send you a link to the files in a second email.

kind regards,

 David

Hello everyone,

I was using MatLab2018b with type155. I had to install Matlab2022a, but even though I left on my computer the 2018 version, TRNSYS gives me an error saying “unable to start the Matlab Engine”. Everything (like environmental variables, etc) have remain the same, but TRNSYS picks Matlab2022a to start the Matlab engine. I wanted to ask if a new DLL is available for Matlab2022a, or if there is a way to fix this error.

Best regards,

Paris
