Ahmad,
I am aware of three components for modeling PCMs. Unfortunately
none of them are in the standard Trnsys library.
There is a free one in TRNLib
(https://sel.me.wisc.edu/trnsys/trnlib/library16.htm#thermalstorage).
It was written quite some time ago and donated by the author. It
will need to be recompiled as a 64-bit dll if it is to be used
with v18 or you can use the 32-bit version of Trnsys18. In order
to recompile, it might need some source code changes that would be
detailed in the 07-Programmer's Guide manual. I don't have any
direct experience with this model but know that it assumes the PCM
to be on the outside surface of the wall (in contact with the zone
air)
Transsolar offers a stand-alone PCM component called Type399.
You can see some information (including downloading the
documentation) here: https://trnsys.de/en/addons-en. Again I don't
have any direct experience with the model so unfortunately can't
offer any advice.
The third one is a model that I wrote some years ago and that
we offer as a stand-alone component. I can send you technical
information. The component listed here:
http://trnsys.com/tess-libraries/individual-components.php.html.
This PCM model assumes that the PCM layer is somewhere within the
interior of the wall (i.e. not in direct contact with zone air
although there are some ways to get around that.
I do not know of a cool roof paint model though as a side note,
part of the idea of Trnsys is to make it possible for users to
develop and add their new components.
kind regards,
David

Dear friends
We purchased the full TRNSYS with TESS library package few
days ago. However, I am keen to use PCM in wall and roofs of a
building and Cool Roof paint. So far, I couldn't find any
useful types to do the task. I wonder if you can advise us on
using specific PCM types available in our RNSYS license or you
could kindly guide us with these Types.
Many thanks in advance for your support.
Best regards
Ahmad
