Re: [TRNSYS-users] Sensitivity Analysis in TRNSYS

Hi Virk,

Try jEPlus/jEPlus+EA. They are primarily developed for EnergyPlus, but also works well with TRNSYS, including parameters in .bld files. Morris and Sobol methods are provided; so is multiple regression.

jEPlus manual here: http://www.jeplus.org/wiki/doku.php?id=docs:manual_2_1

(Slightly outdated) intro video to jEPlus+EA here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3DCDW98gvs

In addition to previous email, i want to change parameters/variables available in Type56 (*.b18 file).

thank you

Subject: Sensitivity Analysis in TRNSYS

Hi All,

Do we have any component in TRNSYS to perform global or local sensitivity analysis. I want to perform the sensitivity analysis of different parameters like insulation, natural ventilation etc for adaptive thermal comfort. I have total thermal comfort hour calculation as a objective function. How i can change different variable to see their effect on objective function. Any simple and quick solution please?

Like how i can calculate standard regression coefficient etc?

Thanks

Regards,

Virk
