Re: [TRNSYS-users] CoolProp in TRNSYS

Maciej,

some of these may be quite obvious but here are some things to check.

- make sure that you modified the Studio proforma to allow for the new nref code.

- make sure that you have used the same case the CoolProp expects; I do not know for a fact but it looks to me as though CoolProp is case sensitive.

- make sure that CO2 properties can be returned based on the combinations of properties that you are sending (T and x known, T and p known, etc.)

- you'll need to recompile the TRNDll after making the source code change CoolProp_Fluid_Properties()

kind regards,

 David

Dear TRNSYS users,

I have created my own component to calculate properties of fluids using CoolProp library.  The component communicates with Subroutine CoolProp_Fluid_Properties(…). However, I would like to use different fluids than those listed in this file (for example CarbonDioxide).

I just wrote a new line in Subroutine CoolProp_Fluid_Properties – “If (nref == new number) RefName = “CarbonDioxide”//CHAR(0)

But it does not work.

Do you have any recommendations for me ?

Kind regards,

Maciej Bujalski
