Re: [TRNSYS-users] Possible bug with type919 water source heat pump

Jim,

The quick fix is that you can set the units of the fraction of outside air to "variable name" (or "string" if you're using v17) and then define and use an equation that sets the fraction of outside air rather than keying in a value.

The more rigorous fix is the following:

- open the Type919 proforma from within the Simulation Studio.

- switch to the "variables" tab, click on the "variables" button and then filter on "inputs"

- find the "fraction of outside air" input and click the "modify" button.

- make sure that the "type" field is set to "real" and not "integer"

- save the change in the proforma, close it and then drag a new one out into your project. Check to make sure that you can set the value to anything between 0 and 1

Once you have verified that the fix works, you'll need to right click on the instance(s) of Type919 in your project and select "replace" from the context menu.

kind regards,

 David

Dear All,

While trying to change the input #20: Fraction of outside air, from the type919 Water source heat pump, I realized that the only possible values it accepts are 0 and 1. Everything in between will not work. Is there a simple fix for that problem, or is it a coding problem?

Kind regards,
