Ashmin,
The controller can make one control decision per time step. When the controller decides to turn on the cooling equipment then the cooling equipment has to stay on for 5 minutes, driving the temperature of the space downwards, perhaps beyond the limit of the dead band. If you use a 1 minute timestep instead then the controller has a chance every minute to turn the cooling equipment back off, limiting the temperature overshoot in the building.
kind regards,
David
Dear Sir,I am cooling type 56 building with type type 752 (Simple Cooling Coil Using Bypass Fraction Approach; Temperature Controlled) by introducing the cool air via ventilation to type 56.I am controlling the room air temperature by type 2: aquastatC controller. When i run the simulation with 5 min time step, the controller cannot control the room air temperature within the dead band but when i run the simulation with 1 min time step it can control the room temperature within the dead band. What may be the possible reason.Looking forward to your answer.
SincerelyAshmin Aryal
