Typically that data can be obtained by visiting manufacturer
websites and looking for their catalog data. The data that is
available depends a lot on what kind of equipment you are looking
for. You will need to take the manufacturer's data format and turn
it into the format that TRNSYS is expecting, saving the data in a
text file for TRNSYS to read.
If you are using the Simulation Studio then the logical unit number will be assigned automatically. Look at the "external files" tab and enter the name and location of your new performance file.
kind regards,
David
Using the available performance data in TRNSYS 18 documentation will be too generic and will not replicate the ideal situation of the HVAC system during simulation (my thought). How do one access the performance data if nothing of such exists in the design manual of the HVAC system? Also, logical unit numbers are used by TRNSYS to reference the DAT file, how do you set a new one?--
