I would try and find an hourly data file for a location that is near to the RETScreen location. TRNSYS reads half a dozen or so different weather data file syntaxes and there is a data base of Canadian weather in *.epw format that has a pretty extensive site list. There is a component in Trnsys that will generate hourly data based on monthly averages but not one that will do so based on daily data.

Hi Everyone:I am new to TRNSYS and looking for a bit of help around constructing a weather file readable by TRNSYS. I have some NASA weather data for a site that I extracted from RETScreen, however these are daily data. Is there anyway to have TRNSYS convert these to say hourly data, or data consistent with the simulation steps?Thanks in advance.
