Re: [TRNSYS-users] Error while importing 3D model from Sketchup into Simulation studio

Yassine,

The SketchUp/Trnsys3d error that you describe is often the result of having the incorrect Trnsys3d template selected. To correctly diagnose the problem, however, I need to know which version of Trnsys you are using and which version of SketchUp you are using.

kind regards,

 David

Dear all,

I’m a new user of TRNSYS,  i had a problem which maybe seems very simple for you, i would like to simulate the thermal behavior of a Veranda using a heated glass. First, i modelled the Veranda using TRNSYS3D plugin in Sketchup, i followed exactly the descritpion in the tutorial (creating a trnsys 3d Zone, keep the zone activated and draw surfaces, save the file as *.idf), when i open the idf.file in Simulation TRNSYS studio, i got and error no airnode is defined, when i open the same idf file in TRNbuild, i don’t find the zone i ve created in Sketchup.

Another point i would like to mention in this mail, i would like to know if it is possible in TNRYS to inject a power density to one of the glazing in orther, to simualte the evoluation of operative temperature inside the Veranda using a heated glass

Any answer or advice will be very helpful for me, i would be very grateful for your help.

Thank you

Yassine
