It is not uncommon for a controller to stick. That in and of itself is not a TRNSYS error; just a warning. If your simulation is not converging at a lot of time steps then you will receive a lot of warnings about non convergence and if it happens enough then you'll get a fatal error. Look in the error log and filter out all the notices and warnings so that you are just looking at errors. The errors are the ones that you need to concern yourself with.
If you are unable to find the cause of the error then you should contact your distributor and get help from their hotline.
