Re: [TRNSYS-users] Sizing PVT collector

Erik,

If you are going to use Type50 then the closest you can get is to set the collector size as the total area. It will assume parallel flow. If you have access to the TESS Electrical library you will find some alternative PV/T collector models that give you some more flexibility.

kind regards,

Hi! I have two questions but I think its better to post them separetly.

First, I need to size a PVT array. The problem is that there is no such sizing parameter set up in the component. Now I have a PVT component that are developed by Abora and it is not a standard component. But to use type 50d for example, the only sizing figures to set is the collector area. Lets say if I want to use 100 collectors how do I do that input? For PV modules and solar thermal collectors at least the number of modules in serie can be set. For some also the parallell connected modules can be set. So, does anyone have a suggestion of what I can do to set my  parallell and serie connected PVTs?

Best regards Erik
