[TRNSYS-users] Issue in auxiliary operations with Type941 (Heat Pump from TESS)

I have noticed a potential issue with the use of the auxiliary system of the Heat Pump Type 941 (from TESS library).

In the source code (Type941.for), there is no value setting for QAUX when all signals à “OFF”.

This means that an auxiliary consumption can be computed whereas its operation mode is “OFF”.

For instance : in one time step you have “Heating mode “ and “Aux mode” both “ON”; if in the next timestep all signals are “OFF”, Type 941 will still set QAUX > 0 as an output.

This can be easily fixed by either adding an additional condition on the calculation of QAUX directly in the TRNSYS model or by re-compiling type 941 with an additional “QAUX=0.” In the “NO-FLOW CONDITIONS”.

Best regards,
