Re: [TRNSYS-users] error in zones

Hi David,

Thank you for your email. I am doing all of this, plus I have been using Trnsys for over 3 years now. This never happened to me before.

I noticed when saving the IDF file it cannot be opened but when I change its location (from hard disk D to bureau for example) the IDF file opens without any issue...

Thanks,
Issmail

Issmail,

There are a few things to make sure about. Sorry if these are very basic and obvious:

- Make sure that when you are drawing in Trnsys3d you always have a zone selected and active.

- Make sure that when you save the Trnsys3d building you use the "save" button in the Trnsys3d tool bar and not the SketchUp File: Save menu option

- make sure that when you reopen the *.idf you use the "open" tool in the Trnsys3d toolbar, not the SketchUp File: Open menu option.

kind regards,

 David

Dear Trnsys users,

I am recently experiencing a weird issue that never happened to me.Everytime I finish modeling my building in Trnsys3d and saving it, I can't open it later - all it gives me is nothing whenever I try to open it in SketchUp.
Does anyone have any idea why this occurs, please?

Thanks in advance,
Issmail
