Re: [TRNSYS-users] Changing idf File in Project

Laith,

Yes, it is possible to update an *.idf file without having to start over (thankfully!). To do so, open the building file in TRNBuild and select "Export TRNSYS3D file..." This will generate an *.idf file and save the modifications you have made to your *.b18. Open the newly created *.idf in SketchUp, make your modifications and save the modified *.idf then return to TRNBuild and reimport the file. You should end up with a *.b18 that has your earlier modifications as well as the modifications you just made in SketchUp.

kind regards,

 David

Dear TRNSYS users

i have a trnsys model but i made changes to the idf sketup model
i don't want to rebuild the trnsys model from the beginning, i only want to import the updated idf file in trnsys
So is there a way to import new idf file in trnsys Simulation Studio to an existing project ?

Thank you in advance
