[TRNSYS-users] Application calls of the Postdoc positions relating to the TRNSYS simulation

Dear all,

There will be two postdoc funding application calls in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Autumn of 2019. If you have a good skill of TRNSYS and your targeted postdoc research area is energy engineering, building energy technologies, renewable energy, building services systems, smart energy grids, new energy vehicles, and energy storages, you are welcome to submit your CV, PhD degree, and list of publications to Assist. Prof. Sunliang Cao by email: sunliang.cao@polyu.edu.hk. In my research group, the most important research tool is TRNSYS, so that a good command of TRNSYS will be a priority for the nomination process at my side.

The two funding application calls:
(1) The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Postdoctoral Fellowships Scheme 2019: 2-years’ position, monthly salary of at least 30,000 HK$/month (around 3500 EUR/month). Application deadline around end of 2019.
(2) The HK RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme: 3-years’ position, monthly salary of 33,050 HK$/month (around 3850 EUR/month). Application deadline around mid-October 2019.

Furthermore, I list here some of the qualifications which will lead to a high success rate of the applications of these postdoc positions:
(1) At least 6 scientific journal publications (SCI-indexed) with high-impact factors, such as the journal of Applied Energy, Energy Conversion and Management, Energy and Buildings, Renewable Energy, Solar Energy, etc. You need to be the first author for most of these 6 publications. (Past successful examples of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Postdoctoral Fellowships Scheme have around 6-8 scientific journal publications).
(2) PhD degree from a renowned university.
(3) Candidates must have been conferred/obtained the PhD degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution no more than three (calendar) years before the (calendar) year of application (regardless of the date of the degree conferment) or are expected to obtain the PhD degree within six months of the application deadline.

If you are shortlisted, you will then also need to prepare your postdoc research proposals.

The decision of the applications will be made around Spring of 2020, and the postdoc should initiate the work from around mid 2020.

Kind Regards,
Sunliang Cao, Dr., Assist. Prof.,
