Re: [TRNSYS-users] TYPE :396 Parabolic trough field (STEC)

Hi Umer,

First: Did you connect weather component correctly (especially beam radiation)? May be you can check it again.
Second:What is HTF temperature? Hot Temperature Fluid? Is it the outlet fluid from PTC? If yes, I think it makes sense, the more fluid flow rate, the more energy required to increase the temperature. Since the heat is the same (from solar radiation) so changing the flow rate change the output temperature.
Third: I have no Idea, may be you can inform us more detail such as in what component. Sometimes we do not need to give all inputs connection since we can make default value.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Also I am still learning to use TRNSYS.

Hello everybody
i am using type 396(parabolic trough field model) in STEC library  to run Rankine cycle.Main parameters: 1)demanded temperature=190  2)inlet temperature=23
3)total field area=1000  4)pump max power=20000

The issues are:
First: from Jan to Dec it gives same output temperature. How can be ouput temperature be same throughout the year.? how to fix it.anyone
Second: changing flowrate of HTF changes output temperature.higher the flowrate lower the output temperature is,lower the flowrate higher the output temperature is.Is it right or wrong.?
Third: During Trace on to check  convergence issue, number of inputs showing are 3 whereas actual number of inputs to the compenent is 13. feeling confuse.
