Re: [TRNSYS-users] multizone no walls

Dear Michele,

for thermal stratification it is normally modelled with a stack of several zones. To model this, example an atrium, assign the construction as ‘VirtualSurface’. When it gets imported into the TRNSYS TRNBUILD, the VirtualSurface will automatically be deleted and reflect an accurate radiative model (T3d_Tutorial, Sketchup -> Help -> Tutorial). In TRNBuild you can create Zones with several Airnodes by “Move Active Airnode” (T18, Building Manual 5.2.2. Getting Started). To create an airflow between these airnodes use the “Coupling” regime.

Best,

Christoph

Betreff: [TRNSYS-users] multizone no walls

I would like to design a multizone building of a large open space building. I would like to divide the space into multiple zones so I can cool certain zones. In sketch up, these would be represented with a wall but in reality, there is no wall. How I can I model it?
