Re: [TRNSYS-users] Explanation about battery component

Michel,

The getNumericalSolution() and setNumericalValue() routines are not specific to the battery component. They are used to solve differential equations numerically when the equation cannot be put into the form dX/dt = aX + b (where a and b are constants over the timestep). The dX/dt = aX + b form can be solved analytically by calling the solveDiffEq() subroutine. For additional information refer to the 07-ProgrammersGuide manual

kind regards,

 David

Hi all,

I am trying to use the lead-acid battery component (Type47a) in TRNSYS but I have a hard time understanding what the "Call SetNumericalDerivatie" and "GetNumericalSolution" functions are doing when using the battery in mode 1.
Can someone perhaps explain this or direct me towards an example?

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,
Michel
