Re: [TRNSYS-users] TRNSYS-users Digest, Vol 163, Issue 31

Dear Jeff,

I have purchased the TESS HVAC Library. Are you talking about a type that its parameter is COP and capacity?
If you're talking about a specific type I would appreciate if you mention its type number.
If you're talking about some kind of data, please explain more about it.

Thanks,
Mehrdad

Mehrdad,

Many manufacturers supply this data for their heat pump products - you just have to look for it on their web sites.  Your other option is to purchase the TESS HVAC Library which has a set of normalized data files where you just have to enter a few common parameters like COP and capacity.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your answer. I check the air source heat pump type. Sample catalogue data includes a lot of information about the heat pump. I cannot find any catalogue with this amount of performance data.

I wonder if you know how to get this kind of catalogue?

Best regards,
Mehrdad

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] heat pump system
Dear trnsys users,

I want to model a DX heat pump in trnsys. this system includes an outdoor air cooled heat exchanger, indoor heat exchanger, compressor and expansion valve.
Rhere are too many heat pumps in hvac TESS library and I'm confused about tupe selection.

This heat pump can be modeled type by type ( compressor , ... ) but there is no benefit in that for me.
I want system COP and power consumption as output.

I would appreciate if you can help me with right type selection foe my system .

Thanks for your answers,
Best Regard,
Mehrdad.

The device you are referring to is called an air source heat pump within the TRNSYS environment.  There are models in the standard HVAC library as well within the TESS HVAC Library for TRNSYS.  Both rely on a catalog data look up approach based on indoor and outdoor conditions.

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] How to connect absorption chiller to building cooling load

Dear TRNSYS users,

I'm a beginner in TRNSYS and using TRNSYS 18.

I have a performance data of absorption chiller and i would like to validate the cooling capacity of absorption chiller has enough size with building cooling load or not.

Then, How can i connect the absorption chiller model type 107 to building cooling load model type 56?

Could you help me please?

Thank you.
