Re: [TRNSYS-users] air-air heat pump

Dear David,

Thank you for your reply, and thanks to Jeff as well for the information. I downloaded the demo version of TRNSYS 18 and I did find the Type 119. I'll use that one until I get the TESS HVAC library package. I think it's time to upgrade to TRNSYS 18 :)

Best regards,

Wirich

It depends on which version of Trnsys you are using. If you are using Trnsys16 or 17 there are air to air heat pump models in the TESS HVAC library. Trnsys18 has an air-to-air heat pump in its standard library but it is a bit more limited than the one that is available in the TESS HVAC library.

kind regards,

 David

Dear TRNSYS users,

I would like to add an air-air heat pump in my simulation project. But I'm not sure of what type I should use.

I found the Type 20, but it seems to be used only for heating, while I would like to cool as well.

I found also the type 938, but I don't have access in my TRNSYS version.

According to my research, there are more heat pump types that I could purchase (TESS HVAC components library). Do you confirm that information?

Otherwise, what would be the ideal type to use in my case? (air-air heat pump for cooling and heating).

Thanks in advance
