[TRNSYS-users] Job Opportunity for TRNSYS modelling/simulation

Dear all,

I hope all is well.

there is a job opportunity (Full Time) in London, UK. Please see below.

Please let me know if you had any queries for that.

Thanks

Br.

Yang

BEN Description:

The Balanced Energy Networks (BEN) project at LSBU brings together cross-sector supply chains to deliver integrated energy solutions at different scales to fulfil the energy systems challenges of achieving a low-carbon economy. http://www.lsbu.ac.uk/research/centres-groups/sites/ben-project

Activities and objectives:

The post-holder will be responsible for exploring how to transfer and distribute energy within BEN system in an intelligent way from heat pump or energy storage tank to buildings; and from one building to another building etc. BEN constraints will be investigated combining with existing BEN and TRNSYS models through programming language Fortran, C++ etc.

The software packages TRNSYS, Matlab/Simulink are to be applied to the development of BEN whole system control, operation and optimization.

Essential knowledge and requirements:

Applicants should be keen on programming with TRNSYS (Borehole, Heat Pump, Storage Tank, Building Services), Fortran and Matlab/Simulink. Candidates should be able to demonstrate advanced experience and skills in creating own TRNSYS 17 components using a Fortran or C++ compiler. A basic knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer theory as well as control theory will be helpful in achieving the above-defined objectives in a time-efficient manner.

Antoine,

I usually refer to the annex 14 sourcebook from ebcs, free available online, good luck

Dear users

We are currently involved in the design of touristic barges with panoramic glazing.

To assess the condensation risk, the client asks us to consider a worst case scenario consisting in a rainy day with passengers wearing wet clothes.

Do you know any model or conservative approach to assess the corresponding latent gains? (Managing my expectations I did not ask for any standard…)

Any insight into that matter will also be welcome.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Best

Karol,

did you define the ceiling containing the TAB as ADJACENT surface between the two airnodes?

If yes, NType 58 should give the same result no matter which airnode /surfaceID is selected.

If you can’t detect any other error (like looking at a wrong output…) you may send your project to (hotline@transsolar.com).

Betreff: [TRNSYS-users] active layer

Dear All

I model thermal active building system. My ceiling is between two zones.

When I ask TRNBuild for outlet temperature from active layer -TOFL (NType 58) – I can do it choosing upper or lower zone of the ceiling.

Why do I get different values for this two outputs? If I understand: they both related to the same ceiling and the same pipes…

Regards,

Karol
