Re: [TRNSYS-users] TRNSYS-users Digest, Vol 157, Issue 7

Amit,

I am not clear as to whether you are asking for an explanation of the equation V = max(0,time-10) or whether you are asking about the format of the characteristic of a photovoltaic's I-V curve.

If it is the first case then the max(:,:) function returns the maximum of two arguments. TIME is a built-in variable. The equation sets a variable (V) to the maximum of zero or the present simulation time minus 10.

If you want to know about the characteristic curve of a PV I would recommend reading the 04-MathematicalReference manual section about the PV Type that you are using.

kind regards,

 David

Sergio,

I suggested the distributor route because this forum is (supposedly) for users to help users whereas the distributors are (hopefully) more likely to respond to tech support questions like yours.

I did look at the project you sent. The wind turbine is internally controlled so that if the wind speed exceeds the rated wind speed (specified in the data file) the rotors change pitch to shed wind so that the turbine is not damaged. When the incident wind speed exceeds rated wind speed the turbine will produce its rated power.

kind regards,

 David

Hello,

I attach all the files. Surely someone can help me. It is a simple example to verify that the behavior of the wind turbine is correct.

Thank you.

Sergio,

I would recommend that you send your project to your distributor so that they can determine why the turbine is giving less power than expected.

The distributor will need to have your project (*.tpf file) and the wind turbine data file that you are using as well as any other files needed in order to run the simulation.

kind regards,

 David

Hello, my name is Sergio.

I have a question. I have the curve of a wind turbine as in the image. The behavior is not correct, since at 25 m / s they produce 95 kW. Can you insert a curve in the next way?

Thanks.

Best regards.
